Erin’s story was the hardest to tell. I am not going to lie I was so very nervous to photograph her. Although after knowing her for a few minutes I realized she is stronger than I could have ever imagined. She was the one comforting me. Making me smile through the tears I was telling myself the whole day I would not shed.
I am honored and blessed to share our sixteenth xoBeautiful project reveal.
Erin was photographed at a gorgeous Door County WI Wedding venue. 7501 Mariner Road – One of the most Luxurious Door County Waterfront Homes. A dream location for wedding photographers in Door County Wisconsin.

Erin’s Story in her words why she wanted to be involved in the xoBeautiful project:
This photo shoot means the world to me. My fiance and I were together 9 years and actually got engaged today (Jan 28th) two years go on top of a mountain top in Idaho doing our favorite thing together, snowboarding. It was beautiful!! We were to get married on June 21, 2014 but sadly he passed away in a avalanche last February. I had just gotten my dress the week before and we were to pick out rings when he got back from his trip out west. I love my dress but I never got to wear it. I am so excited that I get to wear it and show everyone how beautiful that day could have been.

As you may remember from my first post, I mentioned that I had loved ones fill out a fun survey about each lady. Erin’s mother, Carolyn filled this one out for her. I will not guarantee you will have dry eyes after reading this. Although it is worth the tears knowing how amazing Erin is and how much her mom wants to see her happy.
Describe her in 4 words or less: impossible to do. but I’ll try. adventurous strong peaceful soulful
Why do you feel she needs this day to feel beautiful and be a model for the day? Anybody and everybody who knows Erin knows that she needs this day. Erin knows she needs this day.
A woman’s wedding day is one of the highlights of her life. She plans for it for years. She not only plans for it but she dreams of all the wonderful and beautiful feelings that she and her loved one will share on that day and all the heartfelt dreams they have shared will come true. Erin had all those plans and unfortunately she was unable to complete the dream and her heart was broken.
She has been a superhero to all who know her this past year. Not only was she dealing with her grief but her future life was ripped away from her. she has had to rebuild her life. She has been nothing short of amazing.
It has been a year since Justin died and we have developed scars over the gashes of 2014. 2015 will be a year of happiness. She will wear her beautiful wedding dress, she will have her hair and makeup done and she will feel like a princess. She deserves to return to the beautiful bride that was taken from her and have part of her dream realized. She will not only look like a princess but you will capture in your lens her beautiful spirit and a soul of an angel.
When were you most proud of her? Oh gosh I don’t think I will be able to pick just one. When she graduated from Nursing school, passed her boards and started working in the NICU. How she dealt with Justin’s death with dignity, compassion, and honor, and selflessness. When she bought her cute as a button house.
Does she have any hidden talents/funny personality traits? She has a “cackle” like her mother. she says “I feel…” a lot. I always love her happy dance. When she pretends to be “Stewart” and says “look what I can do!”
What makes her special? Again, what can I say. She’s “special” alright! She knows how I feel about her because I normally don’t hide my feelings and I tell people. So to add to what Erin already knows…
She’s special because she is a giver. She want’s to make sure everyone is ok and is taken care of. Sometimes at her own expense. But when she does take care of people she gets happiness in return. She makes the universe a better place because she is bringing joy and healing and happiness.
What do you wish for her in life? Happiness, love, stability, adventures, peace, contentment, beauty
What is her dream job? she has it right now. saving lives
Does she have any nicknames? won ton
Describe a funny memory or moment about her. When we lived in California, we had a friend over at the house. Erin had a loose tooth. This “friend”, we shall call him FKB, decided to tie a string around her front tooth and then the other end to a door knob. Unknown to her parents. The next thing we know we hear a door slam and Erin comes running to us with a huge grin and her tooth in her hand and a bloody mouth. “Mom Dad! My tooth came out” She was so proud!
If she could spend a day with any actor/actress for the day who would it be and why? The guy from “Vikings”. I don’t know his name but she knows who I’m talking about. Because she thinks he’s the bomb
If she could spend a day with any band/musical artist who would it be and why? Justin Timberlake and NSync because she loves them
Erin shared what they had planned for her and Justin’s Wedding Day:
Sadly never happened. It was going to be a outdoor wedding in the country at a horse and hops farm, the Century Barn in Mount Horeb 🙂 We loved beer. More low key wedding with a pork roast with a lots of dancing with a live band in the barn.
