Makinzi’s Story in her words why she wanted to be involved in the xoBeautiful project:
I loved my wedding day and to this day still love my husband as much if not more (after two beautiful children). I truly felt that our wedding day was magical. If only I could back and relive it one more time to REALLY relish in those moments as they were so fleeting. Looking back on the pictures helps, but that day was so electrically charged with emotion and I would love to feel that again!
As you may remember from my first post, I mentioned that I had loved ones fill out a fun survey about each lady. Makinzi’s husband, Leo filled this one out for her. You can see by the image below the impact of his words and the love they share.
Describe her in 4 words or less: Perfect wife and mother.
Why do you feel she needs this day to feel beautiful and be a model for the day? She deserves a day of pampering for all the hard work she puts into being a wonderful wife and a working mother.
When were you most proud of her? The proudest moment was when she gave birth to both of our beautiful little girls.
Does she have any hidden talents/funny personality traits? Her hidden talent is the happiness she gives me everyday I come home. I love being able to talk to her about anything and love her for putting up with my joking around all the time.
What makes her special? Her love she shows for our kids and myself. And her snort when she laughs.
What do you wish for her in life? One more child…. Hopefully a boy.
What is her dream job? I believe she has her dream job.
Does she have any nicknames? Kinz, ma, pork, grandma, bouncy butt
If she could spend a day with any actor/actress for the day who would it be and why? Kevin hart. Funny dude. And yes we are going to see him in April.
And of course, I wanted to hear details from her wedding day!
We were married at Heritage Hill State Park wedding Green Bay, WI on January 12th, 2008. I wanted to get married when there was snow on the ground as I feel like snow and wintertime is so romantic. We got married on a day where the snow was lightly falling and it was absolutely everything I dreamed of and more. We had the reception right at Heritage Hill in the welcome center. Guests were taken from the church to the reception hall in a horse and carriage. I know it sounds so cliche, but it was perfect in every way and I would not have changed it one bit looking back. The best part of the day was knowing that for the rest of my life I would have my best friend by my side. And he has been every step of the way; through good and bad times.
