Pay it Forward Session Nomination
Here is her story told by her friend Barb:
Stacy Jost is a 37 year old wife, mother, daughter, sister and dear friend to many. On March 2013, Stacy was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. From then on, she began her courageous journey to fight for her life through 7 months of aggressive treatments and surgeries until she was given a clean bill of health last October.
This past January, Stacy, her husband Chris and son Cooper celebrated her remission and joined the Livestrong program at the YMCA to start a New Year health plan. Their celebration was short-lived as by the end of February, other symptoms cropped up and through months of testing and treatments, she was diagnosed this April with Stage 4 breast cancer – with tumors throughout her brain, lungs, bones and liver.
Stacy continues her battle and has completed 14 rounds of radiation and is now facing many rounds of chemo treatments. She faces each day with grace, optimism and a smile on her face – determined to grow old with Chris and watch Cooper grow up.
